This blog started running on the 4th of January 2007.
Till date, I have been blogging for almost 420days.
It's a pretty long and rocky journey for me.
Naturally, I faced countless of problems during this period of time.
Most common one being having a hard time expressing my views and thoughts on certain unimportant issues.
Nevertheless, I have learn quite alot during this period of time.
Both in terms of managing my blog traffic and command of English.
I know I am no famous blogger, but in terms of unique IP address (UIPD) my blog traffic is certainly higher than most of the tom, dick and harry out there.
My blog traffic peak was probably the time when I got odexed, at then, if my memory serves me right, it hit about 6600 views just on a single week.
Still, there is nothing glorious about the 6600. It's more like a shame than anything.
To further improve my blog, I have been tracking my blog traffic intensively during the past 30days.
And I have spotted interesting patterns that I can't explain why.
I have also took note of the specific kind of post that attracts people.
Just some statistic on the past 30days.
General statistics
- Within the 7days of a week. On the average, Friday generates the most highest amount of UIPD with Saturday being the second. And the rest of the weekdays are pretty even out.
- My highest amount of UIPD in a day is 114 which is yesterday. Same goes to the page loads that hit 150.
- My worst blog traffic was expectedly on the 7th of February, which is the 7th day of my absence in blogging as I was overseas.
- Excluding the Odex incidence, my total UIPD in a week was at its highest during the past 7days. It 2times or more of what I have been achieving during year 2007 during a week.
- I had a total of 1434 page views during the past 30days. And I had 544 during the past 7days.
How did people came in?
- 80% of the people enter my page through the link "l-lawliet.nutang.com". And 70% of the people exit through the same link.
- Out of 500, 107 people came without any referring links, 46 came from the web "www.nutang.com" and the rest came from various blogs that linked me, forums and other anime sites that I comment on. blah blah. Numbers in those areas barely exceeded 10.
- 16.8 percent of people came through search engines. 86.9% of them used google and the rest used either yahoo, msn or windows live.
Key words
- And quite amazingly, 36% of the previous 500views came from people that searched for keywords like "edison sex scandal kira photos porn naked". So in short, I probably would have lost about 160page views if I skipped the post about it. This also proves that sex sells.
-92% of the people that came in read my insights on the entire episode of edison chen sex scandal also read the post about kira vs edison chen.
Tracking IPs that visited me
- One particular starhub user came to my blog 23times and read the same post over and over again in a period of 7days. o_O
- One other singtel guy came to my blog 20times in a period of 4 days. He/she visited 4different pages in my blog during the 20times. On average he came in and out of my blog at least 5times a day.
Visit length and returning visit
- 65% of people left within 5seconds upon visiting on my blog. No good at all.
- 17% Stayed in my blog for more than an hour, which they probably left they firefox tab unclosed.
- The rest stayed in my blog between 5second to an hour.
- 65% of people that stubmled upon my blog gave me 0 returning visits. 19% gave me 1-5 returning visits in a day. 4.5% gave me 5-10 returning visits. And the remaining 10percent nolife people came in and went out of my blog for at least 10times a day. No life ftw!
Popular post
- My post popular post during the past 700views was the "EDISON SEX SCANDAL HAS TURNED INTO A DEATHNOTE SITUATION" post.
- Second "Would be my relief teacher sacked for mocking at students"
- Third would be my insights on Edison sex scandal post.
